Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985. She was born in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father, was an ordained pastor in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix was a natural athlete and found her passion of sprinting while in the sprints at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks following the first time she tried out. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She then enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an Junior World Record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the distance of 200 meters. She won the title in 2007. won her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished at the top of the podium in all events.
